The 12 days of Christmas at Halekulani

There’s something magical about Hawaii at Christmas, so at Halekulani we don’t just celebrate December 25, we celebrate 12 days of Christmas.

The seasonal fun begins on Sunday, December 13 at Lewers Lounge. Join us for Festive Tunes by the Legendary Jimmy Borges, from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. On Monday, December 14, guests can enjoy a Honolulu Hale Holiday Illumination Tour. This tour takes guests around the decorations and lights around Honolulu Hale (City Hall) and the iconic 55-foot tall Christmas tree. A shuttle will depart the hotel at 5:30 p.m. and return at 7:15 p.m. Space is limited, so please contact our Concierge for reservations.

On Tuesday, December 15, our resident cultural historian, Hi’inani will take guests through a special Holiday Historical Tour, sharing stories of past traditions. The tour runs from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and is complimentary for guests, but space is limited, so please contact our Concierge for reservations.

On Friday, December 18, we invite our youngest guests to take part in Visions of Sugar Plums from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Hau terrace. Kids can decorate their own gingerbread house and cookies, created by our pastry chefs, then take home their own creations to enjoy. To be part of this sweet celebration, be sure to reserve your space with our Concierge. Another event perfect for our youngest guests is our Halekulani Holiday Cinema Night on Tuesday, December 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Kiawe and Kalia Rooms will provide pillows and popcorn, perfect for curling up and enjoying a family-friendly classic holiday film.

Then on Christmas Eve, we welcome a special guest from the North Pole. Santa arrives at Gray’s Beach in front of Halekulani at 4:30 p.m. in a typically Hawaiian way, on an Outrigger canoe. Once he greets those at the beach, he will attend our Children’s party in our Halekulani Ballroom. He joins our Manager’s Reception at 5:30 p.m. at Hau Terrace to greet our guests who are still kids at heart, and to raise a glass to the season. Please join us for a dozen days of seasonal fun.
