HIFF ‘Ōpio Fest 2025: Hawaii Int’l Film Festival Presented by Halekulani

As HIFF enters its 45th year, we are excited to announce the next exciting evolution of the Hawaiʻi International Film Festival: HIFF ‘Ōpio Fest presented by Halekulani.

This rebrand of HIFF’s signature spring event will maintain all the acclaim of HIFF’s annual Spring Showcase that brings the brightest new voices in international cinema ahead of our Fall Festival – and joins this momentum with a celebration of the Future of Film, showcasing Hawai’i’s young creatives, incorporating special industry guests, family-friendly film premieres, and workshops for all ages that catalyze creative conversations around the next generation of storytelling,  films, filmmakers, culture, and connection.

HIFF ‘Ōpio Fest will continue to highlight the best in new international cinema that will include selections straight from Sundance, exceptional international programs, and advanced screenings of anticipated studio releases. We encourage you to also check out the incredible programs that highlight the talent of Hawaiʻi’s emerging voices, and the excitement around celebrating the next generation of media. ‘Ōpio Fest is the perfect opportunity to bring the family to the movies. Save the dates for this memorable experience: April 8 – 13, 2025, at Consolidated Theatres Kahala in Honolulu, Hawai’i. The full program will be unveiled in March, so stay tuned!
